All Current Electrical Sales is
looking for an experienced AutoCAD – Electrical Design Engineer to work out of
our Houston, TX Distribution Center. This role will be responsible for assisting
in the creation and production of 2D and 3D drawings that illustrate electrical
systems across a variety of applications.


  • Create drawing submittal schedules based on the customer’s
    construction requirements
  • Review of plans and drawings to ensure scope of work is
    achieved and executed
  • Identify potential problems, scope gaps or deficiencies
    with the request or documentation
  • Maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
  • Prepare complex drawings or models that include multiple
    views, detail drawings and assembly drawings
  • Work closely with the sales team and customer in all
    aspects of project management
  • Development of inclusions, exclusions and assumptions
    used to prepare accurate drawings
  • Work from sketches, computer models and other forms of
    information to determine the most appropriate views, detailed drawings and
    additional requirements to complete each project

Skills Needed

  • Electrical Theory
  • Means and Methods specific to electrical trade
  • Knowledge or Electrical and building codes
  • Solidworks, Inventor, 3D Max, SketchUp, Revit, or other modeling
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
  • SCCR (Short Circuit Current Rating) coordination
  • 3 Phase and Single Phase Load Calculations
  • Proper selection of components and devices for use in a UL508A
    Industrial Control Panel
  • Drawing requirements to include torque, labeling, tagging etc.
  • Self – starting
  • Knowledge of power distribution and the electrical
  • Positive attitude and personable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a team environment


  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D mechanical CAD tools
